Do you notice anything?!?!?!?

Sooooo.....who will be the first to notice what is different in this picture?!?!? For those of my friends who know...you can't tell!!!
I had a GREAT birthday party last Saturday (combined with two of my other friends)! Thanks to the R family for hosting it! We took lots of pictures, and got each other soaking wet.
At one point, all of the girls went to go to our house to turn our horses out. We all started walking (or running) and Mom was going to come in a couple minutes with the van. When we got to the alley behind the R's house, the boys came running at us armed with buckets/water guns/etc. Some of us jumped in the car, some started running, and only one got wet! Then, we kidnapped the boys and took them home with us. There was 17 teenagers and 1 adult in our mini van!!! CRAZY!! When we went to leave our house, all the girls snuck into the garage and tried to jump in the truck and ditch the guys, but they stood right behind us so we couldn't back out :( So...we had to take them with us!
We had a total blast.....and can't wait for revenge at Family Camp :) :) :) JK!!...or not. ha ha ha...(evil, sinister laugh!)

Courtship

I can hardly believe it!!!

No...I'm just kidding..but I have to tease my friends, Tyler & Perry, who both posted posts titled "Courtship" and both started with something similiar to "I can't believe it!"

Congrats, both of you! I am sooo excited to watch how God will play this out in your lives. I will probably calling you when I (Lord willing) start courting some day!!! You know how you have friends that you are "equal" with and then friends who you look up to? You both have been friends that I have been able to look up to throughout the years I have known you.

I'm praying for you and am thrilled for you both!

Update on life :)

Life is actually calming down...finally :) All of the puppies are gone, and our kitchen is free from dog pens and gates everywhere! Yay! We are on our last three bird babies and they go home next week. We have a horse leaving Sunday, too! Way too cool!...but, we bought a new horse last week. She is amazing!
This is one of our favorite mares, Justine.
Everything has been going well. My birthday is coming up (yay!) and so we are doing a party for the two R boys and me combined next weekend. It should be fun.

Do you notice anything?!?

OK...I have like one second to post something really funny! Life is starting to calm down a little bit..finally.

All those of you do not live in AZ need to be so happy right now. It is hot and humid and miserable. Ugh..why do I live here? For the beautiful sunsets...Grand Canyon...think positive....:)

Here's the funny thing. This is a great picture of Jessie and one of our puppies, Pickles. Do you notice anything different/funny/strange about it? It may be a while before I have time to get on here again and tell you what is different, but comment and let me know what you think.

And the long and short of it is....

....this is a crazy time of year! And, with everything that has happened lately, it's only crazier!!

It started two weeks ago today. We were supposed to have three of the interns from the NCFIC confernce stay at our house for the weekend. So, I was up in Jessie's room helping her get the beds made, and I flopped over on one of the beds and said, "Man, I'm really tired." When I tried to sit back up, there was such an intense pain in my mid back on the left side that I was paralyzed. I started crying and could barely make it down the stairs. After about an hour of intense pain, we set out for the hospital. It hurt so bad that the bouncing of the truck felt like torture. I have never been in so much pain...and I've been hurt, too. I've broken arms, flipped head first off horses and sprained my back and neck, had my toenails ripped off, etc. But this was awful. So, after IVs, drawing blood, and chest x-rays, they determined I had pnuemonia in my left lung. Yeah...pnuemonia in June. Crazy! But, the doc said it was bacterial and attacks random people. If anyone had walked into the hospital, they probably wouldn't have recognized me. I had an IV in one arm, hospital bands on the other arm, and I was shaking and my teeth were chattering from pain. Sooooo, they gave me a lot of morphine that night (which made me really crazy), and sent me home on pain killers, antibiotics, and steroids.

On Tuesday, they called and said I had a bacteria called mycoplasma or walking pnuemonia that was more serious than they originally thought, so back to the doctor for stronger antibiotics. I had been doing really well, and then last weekend, I took a turn for the worse. A couple days ago (Monday), I had a really high fever again, and was really weak. They think I may have Valley Fever, also. AUGH!!!

So, I am doing pretty good right now, and I think it will be kind of up and down for the next undetermined length of time. Frustrating!

I don't know how much I will be posting due to having three litters of puppies, bird babies, and more! Enjoying summer....

Lisa :)
