In which.....I become an earring-wearer

I did it. Bit the bullet, took the plunge, and had holes pierced in my ears.

Been wanting to do it for over a year now, and, in all honesty, I've been mortally terrified of having it done. Totally freaked out.

I walked into WalMart today with my heart racing. The lady in the jewelry department made all sorts of nice small talk, and then did the deed.

Huh - not bad at all. Really, truly quite easy. All the anxiety for nothing!!

Why did I do this? So I could have big dangly fun earrings to show horses in! Not much of a jewelry girl, but I am a sucker for a cute pair of dangles. And yes, my dear friend-who-is-the-well-known-queen-of-earrings, I was thinking of you ♥ ♥

  1. Yay!! Welcome to the ranks of the earringed!! :D Yeah, it really doesn't hurt much at all with a gun, does it? I pity my poor Mum who had her ears pierced by my grandma with a needle! O.O I'm not a huge earring fan, but I like to wear nice jewellery sets to church on Sundays, and earrings set it off nice. :D

    1. Oh I know!! My Mom had hers originally done by my grandpa and then added more on her own with a friend using ice cubes and a needle. OUCH!!

    1. Oh, Amy....I am so with you. I have been dying to do this for about 2 years now, but was really, truly terrified.

Yes, it was worth it. No, it wasn't bad at all. At least for me....she did the first one, and I right away said, "Oh, that was easy." I've had much, much worse :) :)
