“Never forget what Jesus did for you. Never take lightly what it cost Him. And never assume that if it cost Him His very life, that it won't also cost you yours.”

Quote Of The Decade

The Quote of the Decade:

“The fact that we are here today to debate raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the US Government cannot pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government's reckless fiscal policies. Increasing America's debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that, "the buck stops here.' Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.”

~ Senator Barack H. Obama, March 2006

Amazing that he admits it, isn't it??

  1. Hey, hey, hey! No disrespect intended, but he speaks out of both sides of his mouth.

  2. I was just listening to him on the radio the other day, and he was talking about how raising the debt limit wasn't such a bad thing, and that we just needed to tax those 'evil rich people' more. After all, they have plenty of money (according to us), they can afford to share it.
    Uh-huh.
There's a saying I like (and I'm not sure if I came up with it, or heard it somewhere), "The publics greatest enemy is their own ignorance." We so quickly forget what people say and do that they're able to say whatever's popular at the time. Kind of like Romney's etch-a-sketch.

  3. Shows either one of two things.
    1. He can change his mind about things in an awful hurry, or
    2. He has no problem making whatever statements he needs to make to get him where he wants to be where he can then do what he wants.
We can't automatically assume it is the second one, because you have to give the man the benefit of the doubt. Maybe he did change his mind.
You can guess what my opinion is.

  4. Okay, I know some of y'all may or may not agree with me, but seriously; Obama is just doing what Lincoln did. When President Lincoln was a senater, Oh, I wish I had the quote with me! I'll find it later and share it with y'all. Anyhow, he said that the states had the right to seceed, and then during the war, his views had apparently made a 180 degree turn.
Obama says what he is told to say. He said one thing then, and he says another thing now.
David, your 2nd point is very correct, and I'm not giving him the benefit of doubt. He has shown that he has no character, and that he doen't care about our country. He is a Muslem for Pete's sake! And Muslems don't think twice about lying to "the infidel" or making choices that will destroy our country, and take away our freedom and honor, and respect.
I think y'all agree with me, But I just wanted to add my two cents ;)

  5. I wonder if one day the history about Obama will be as re-written as that of Lincoln. I recently switched sides (for the most part) from north to south (I'm wearing a belt buckle right now that has the letters "CS" on it, and they don't stand for Computer Science). I think you're spot on Sadie, everyone's starry eyed about Lincoln, but when you really read his words, it's a little startling.
I once saw a political comic that showed Obama shaking hands with the Lincoln Memorial.
