Picture Day!!

The girls and I spent an amazing afternoon with a friend getting our pictures taken - for a change! She is sooooo incredible and talented and I cannot wait to see how the shots turn out  BUT...the highlight of the day was when she crawled under the altar to get the angle she needed!! To say it was priceless would be an understatement!!

On the way home, the dark and gorgeous sky with the cornfield in front proved too good of an opportunity to be missed. We pulled the truck over, and got some shots...or tried to. I LOVE the monsoon season and the clouds and storms it brings!!

*disclaimer - Jessie took this one...thus the soft focus :) :) :)*

    1. Too funny....I think it is sooooooooooo ugly here. There are rare moments of beauty (clouds help!!) and those are what I photograph :) Usually, it's dirt with the occasional cactus. But we are blessed to be able to live in a little oasis. Irrigation is a lifesaver!!!!!

    2. Haha! It looks so nice in the photos! :D Are there many crops over there, though? They are usually really pretty here. Plus the flatness of the landscape in Arizona is pretty cool; flatness is a novelty after living in hilly countryside. :D

    3. We live on the outskirts of Phoenix in an old farming community, so there are lots of crops out by us...mostly corn and cotton. But not really in the rest of AZ.

And yes, it's flat as a pancake out here. With the occasional cacti.
