Andy Griffith and CS Lewis :) :)

  1. Great quotes! I enjoy watching the Andy Griffith show; he was such a thoughtful and respectable character, and the show always has a good moral lesson. C.S. Lewis' quote reminds me of the song "This world is not my home I'm just a passin' through; my treasures are laid up somewhere beyond the blue. The angels beckon me from heaven's open door, and I can't feel at home in this world any more..."

    1. I had never seen Andy Griffith until I went to OR last year to stay with a family up there. We watched quite a few episodes, and I fell in love!! I've been a fan ever since :)

  2. Hey Lisa! I tried to leave you a comment last night, but my phone died right when I hit "publish" and I don't think it went through - either that or you didn't like it. :)

I was so excited when I read your post Friday night. This is one area that I didn't realize we were alike in. I LOVE quotes too!! I go through too many index cards. :)

Ha ha ha. A-salt rifle - very funny!! That's great. I love the Dr. Seuss quotes too. I shared them with my sister and I thought of them off and on all day yesterday! I love that first one about nobody else like you and especially the one about not crying because it's over, but smiling because it happened. That's a helpful way to think about it.

I'm excited to see the rest of your quotes! It was funny, right at the beginning of your post on Friday I thought "We should start exchanging quotes in our letters!" and then I read further about you posting them on here and thought "That's great!" (we could still exchange some in letters too though if you wanted to).

I'm thinking of you and hope you're doing well!

    With much love,

    Savannah

    1. Wow.....we are alike in so many areas!!! Isn't it funny how so often we think of something and then it keeps coming up? I will definitely tuck some of my favorite quotes into my next letter.....I have the letter you wrote me around Christmas sitting out on my desk, and every day, I think "I really need to write!" and then the day is over. But, I think of you a lot and will be writing soon.

      *big hug*!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
      Lisa
