For David

Some pictures I took of a friend yesterday...these are in order from my favorite to my least favorite. I am LOVING Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. It is the best photo-editing program out there - in my humble opinion.

  3. Those are great, Lisa! The glowing sunlight is amazing!

By the way, do you know what the difference is between Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Photogshp Lightroom?

  4. Yeah...Adobe has Photoshop Elements (which allows you to do collages, cloning, cutting and pasting into a different background, as well as minimum tweaking of light/color/sharpness) and Photoshop Lightroom (which is specifically and exclusively for editing light/color of images - no other features...but it does a good job of it's specialty).

I have both Elements 6.0 and Lightroom 3.5 and need them both :) You can buy Adobe Photoshop CS5 and get an all-in-one if you want to spend a lot of money :D

  6. I love it for messing with pictures. It can turn and OK picture into a "wow" picture.

  9. My Dad has a Nikon D5000 that I love taking pictures with! I wish I could edit them, just need to get Photoshop. Which one do you recommend?

  10. Depends. If you have a lot of money, buy Photoshop CS5. It'll do it all.

If you don't have as much money and want to mess around with light and color, as well as clone, make some collages, graphic design...go with Photoshop Elements.

If you don't have as much money and specifically want to change light and color on your pictures, go with Photoshop Lightroom.

I have both Elements and Lightroom and bounce back and forth between them all the time. They are both indispensable to me :D

  12. Just. Plain. Gnarly. The more I look at the first one, the more I like it. That's almost as good as the one by Gabe.

  13. I'm so glad you like it, David!! I messed with a few more that I think you'll like, too. The one you emailed me about turned out alright....it's now a "wow" picture like the first.

I messed with a couple of the boot & spur pictures and they turned out pretty neat.

And, actually, I stole the picture Gabe took and messed with that one just for kicks. It is really cool!

I'll try to remember to put them on a flash drive and if you bring your computer to church tomorrow we can look at them....
